By the time of the debut, eleven of the members were Korean
Before their official debut, Super Junior was already a hot topic over
the Internet. News broke about SM Entertainment's unprecedented plans
of forming a large 12 member group. Rumors about the identity of
the members as well as the group's name circulated for months.
For awhile, many speculated that they were going to be known as
"Common Ground." Another speculation claimed that the band
was going to be called "O.V.E.R" (Obey the Voice for Each Rhythm).
Before officially debuting as a group, they had already made appearances
on television via acting, VJing on music programs, or modeling.
Some of the members still continue to do so today, such as Kim Hee Chul,
Choi Si Won, Kim Ki Bum, and Kyu Hyun who
are active in dramas and movies.

Super Junior moved onto their second single, "Miracle".

In contrast to the edgy, rock-influenced feel of "TWINS", "Miracle"
was a light bubblegum pop love song with light-hearted choreography.
On May 23, 2006 SM Entertainment announced the addition
in the group's career. Followed, soon thereafter, by the release of
"Endless Moment" on May 29, 2006 and "Lovely Day" on June 6, 2006.
On July 23, 2006, Super Junior started promoting their new song,
"Dancing Out" from the 2006 SMTOWN summer album.
Super Junior has been criticized in the past for lip-synching
and lack of vocal skills, specifically for shaky pitch and heavy breathing.
The criticisms worsened in July 2006 when they lipsynched on
Show! Music Core (쇼! 음악중심) of MBC, show that guarantees
all live performance. While fans have defended them saying that
Hee Chul was ill, their critics argued that they shouldn't have to
because they are a large 13 member group, Hee Chul being ill
does not account for all 13 members. Despite this,
they have still remained popular through their strong fanbase
and their album sales have been strong.
Aside from music programs, they could be also seen in dramas.
In 대결! 슈퍼주니어의 자작극 (Super Junior's Mini-Drama), Super Junior
wrote, produced, and acted the drama. The subject matters of
the drama were the top three choices of the viewers.
The mini-series soon became popular among fans. Their busy schedule
was briefly interrupted when Hee Chul fractured his femur
in a car accident, but the group managed to restart fairly quickly.
However, because their single "Dancing Out" was a summer single,
they had their "Goodbye Special" (performing their last singles "U"
and "Dancing Out" for the last time) on SBS's "Inki Gayo"
on September 3, 2006.
four members of the Super Junior group, Shindong, Leeteuk,
Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, and two managers were involved in a car accident
when the driver of the vehicle believed that one of the tires was deflated
and attempted to change lanes, but lost control of the car.
The van ran into the guard rail/medium on the driver's side and
skidded for about 30M+. At some point, the momentum caused
the van to flip over on its right side.
Kyuhyun was sitting behind the driver's seat, therefore he was
the most injured out of all the members. He had a fractured hip,
broken ribs, and facial scratches/bruises. The fractured hip was bleeding
and his broken ribs had come down on his lungs. He was slipping in
and out of consciousness, and couldn't really speak because of the shock. Kyuhyun was discharged on July 5, 2007 after 78 days.
Shindong was the least injured out of the members, and managed to
leave the accident with just cuts and bruises on his face and body.
Leeteuk had an operation regarding glass shards that were in his back,
the operation was successful in removing them all. He also had a scratch
near his eye and various cuts and bruises. When they found out
how serious his injuries were, they had a plastic surgeon stitch him up.
He got a total of 170 stitches on his face and his back. They're trying to
avoid leaving any scars, but Leeteuk might have to have more surgeries
later on to remove scars. Eunhyuk was also reported with having
glass shards in his back, and was said to have stitches. Regarding
schedules,all activities involving these four members have been cancelled.
Police reports said that the driver blamed the accident on a flat tire,
but investigations showed that the tire was fine and in actuality
the driver had been speeding. Both Leeteuk and Kyuhyun recovered
quicker than the doctor initially expected. Leeteuk was discharged
from the hospital on April 30th (3 PM, Korean time) but did not resume
his schedule until after 33 days of recovery. Kyuhyun's family and friends
were shocked to find out that he is recovering so quickly that his doctor
even stated that he would not require any new operations
for the time being.

ไม่ว่าจะเป็นงานด้านการแสดง พิธีกร หรือ นายแบบ
วงซูเปอร์ จูเนียร์ได้เปิดตัวและออกรายการโทรทัศน์ครั้งแรกที่สถานี SBS ในรายการ Ingigayo
เมื่อวันที่ 6 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2548 พร้อมกับการแสดงในเพลง Twins (Knock Out)
ซิ้งเกิ้ลแรกของพวกเขา ซึ่งภายหลังจากการแสดงครั้งนั้น ซูเปอร์ จูเนียร์ได้รับกระแสตอบรับ
เป็นอย่างดีจากแฟนเพลง และด้วยเหตุนี้เองที่ทำให้ทางต้นสังกัดตัดสินใจที่จะออกวางขาย
อัลบั้มเต็มอัลบั้มแรกของซูเปอร์ จูเนียร์ในวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2548
โดยที่ก่อนหน้านี้นั้นซูเปอร์ จูเนียร์ ได้ออกซิงเกิ้ลพิเศษที่มีชื่อว่า Show me your love
ร่วมกับสมาชิกร่วมค่ายอย่างวงดงบังชินกิไปแล้ว เมื่อวันที่ 15 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2548
นอกจากความโด่งดังของซูเปอร์ จูเนียร์ในประเทศเกาหลีใต้บ้านเกิดแล้ว
พวกเขายังเป็นที่รู้จักในต่างประเทศอีกด้วยโดยเฉพาะในประเทศไทย ที่พวกเขาได้มีโอกาส
ไปร่วมงาน "พัทยามิวสิกเฟสติวอล 2006" เมื่อวันที่ 17 - 19 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2549 ที่ผ่านมา
ซึ่งได้รับการตอบรับเป็นอย่างดี นอกจากนี้ในประเทศจีนเองพวกเขาก็มีเว็บไซต์ที่เหล่าแฟนคลับ
ทำขึ้น และในช่วงเดือนมิถุนายนนี้พวกเขาอาจมีโอกาสได้ไปโปรโมทที่ประเทศจีนอีกด้วย
เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ ภายหลังจากที่หมดช่วงโปรโมทอัลบั้มแรก นอกจากจะมีสมาชิกเพิ่มขึ้นมาอีก 1 คน
ทำให้วงประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 13 คนแล้ว พวกเขาได้ออกซิงเกิ้ลใหม่ที่มีชื่อว่า U และ
Endless Moment โดยทางต้นสังกัด SM Entertainment ได้เปิดให้ดาวน์โหลดได้

ตามลำดับ เพื่อตอบแทนแฟนเพลงที่ให้การตอบรับซูเปอร์ จูเนียร์เป็นอย่างดี
ในช่วงต้นเดือนสิงหาคมที่ผ่านมิวสิกวิดีโอของพวกเขา ที่มีชื่อว่า Dancing Out
ได้เริ่มออกอากาศตามสถานีโทรทัศน์ และซูเปอร์ จูเนียร์ก็ได้ออกแสดงโปรโมท

ในช่วงเดือนกรกฎาคม อย่างไรก็ดีเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่มีใครคาดคิดก็เกิดขึ้นถึง 2 เรื่อง
เมื่อคุณพ่อของอีทงแฮ 1 ในสมาชิกในวงเกิดเสียชีวิตลงอย่างกระทันหันด้วยอาการป่วยเรื้อรัง
เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม ทำให้สมาชิกในวงต้องเดินทางไปร่วมพิธีศพที่จัดขึ้นในวันที่ 10 สิงหาคม
หลังจากเสร็จสิ้นงานพิธีศพแล้ว ในระหว่างการเดินทางกลับของ 1 ในสมาชิกในวง คิมฮีชอล
ได้ประสบอุบัติเหตุทางรถยนต์ ทำให้ต้องเข้ารับการผ่าตัดที่ขา
ซึ่งแพทย์ระบุว่าฮีชอลนั้นต้องพักงาน
นานเป็นเวลากว่า 3-6 เดือนด้วยกัน ส่งผลให้ซูเปอร์จูเนียร์จำเป็นต้องพักงานที่รับไว้
ในช่วงหลังจากเหตุการณ์ครั้งนั้น 1 สัปดาห์เกือบทั้งหมด
คืนวันที่ 19 เดือนเมษายน พ.ศ. 2550 เวลาประมาณเที่ยงคืน 20 นาที อีทึก อึนฮยอก
ชินดง และคยูฮยอน ประสบอุบัติเหตุทางรถยนต์ระหว่างการเดินทางกลับมาจาก
การอัดรายการวิทยุ Kiss The Radio บนทางด่วน ใกล้แยกบริเวณสะพานทงจัก
(Dongjak Bridge) แพทย์เปิดเผยว่า คยูฮยอน อาการหนักสุด เพราะกระดูกซี่โครงขวาหัก
ปอดเลือดไหลไม่หยุด กระดูกเชิงกรานและข้อเท้าหัก ซึ่งจะต้องเข้าตรวจรักษาอย่างใกล้ชิด
ในขณะที่สมาชิกคนอื่น ๆ มีอาการบาดเจ็บเพียงเล็กน้อยจากการบาดของเศษกระจกที่แตกเท่านั้น
Super Junior ก็มีโอกาสมาเยี่ยมเยียนเมืองไทย
